THE PROCEDURE
Mirconeedling is a minimally invasive treatment, the micro-needles on the device create micro punctures this is to stimulate and encourage the production of collagen and elastin. Microchannels are also left on the dermis from the microneedling, this helps the solution to better penetrate the skin deeply, but damaging the skin and it stimulates the healing process in the skin which encourages collagen and elastin production

Is this treatment suitable for me?

Skin boosters can be carried out on all skin types. It is only suitable for patients who are above the age of 18 and those who are not pregnant or breastfeeding. it is perfect for anyone who wants to improve dull, tired looking skin for a more fresh and youthful look.

How do I prepare for the Skin Booster treatment?
​
Do not drink alcohol for 24 hours before your appointment. Avoid using aspirin or any other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs for 48 hours before the treatment, unless they are taken for a chronic medical condition. Do not wear make-up for the appointment.

How often do I need the Skin Booster treatment?
​
The number of facial Skin Booster sessions you will require depends on the skin condition that you want treating. We offer Lumi Eyes and Sunekos for under eyes which requires 2-3 treatment spaced 7-14 days apart. We usually recommend 2-3 sessions 4 weeks apart, in order to achieve your desired results.

What results can I expect?

Skin Boosters can instantly improve dull, tired looking skin and superficial wrinkles but can also help to improve sluggish blood circulation, aiding the body to flush out ageing toxins. This treatment can also be used to address pigmentation problems, treat acne scarring and be combined to enhance the effects of other aesthetic treatments such as Botox or fillers.

What aftercare is needed?

Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours. Avoid sun (and sunbeds), Saunas, Steam rooms or heat for 72 hours. Avoid consuming excess amounts of alcohol or salts to avoid excess swelling. If you have swelling you may apply a cool compress for 15 minutes each hour.
